Tonglu, a picturesque county in Hangzhou renowned as “China’s Most Beautiful County,” is celebrated worldwide for its unique landscape of mountains and waters. From September 18 to 20, the team of Maxi Scientific Instruments (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. gathered here for a team-building activity themed “Embracing Nature, Strengthening Team Bonds.”
A Journey Through Time: The Millennia-Old Culture of Songcheng
On the first day, we visited Songcheng in Hangzhou, immersing ourselves in a journey through a thousand years of history.
“The Romance of the Song Dynasty,” a performance based on Hangzhou’s historical allusions and myths, weaves together historical chapters like the Liangzhu Culture and the prosperity of the Southern Song Dynasty. This visual feast offered a profound appreciation of Jiangnan Culture, perfectly launching our three-day team-building journey.
Push the Limits of Team Courage at OMG Heartbeat Paradise
On the second day, we visited the OMG Heartbeat Paradise in Tonglu, an experiential adventure park nestled in a Karst valley. We began with the “Heavenly River Boat Tour,” gliding through a constant 18°C underground karst cave. Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, we encountered scenes inspired by the classic tale “Journey to the West.”
The “Cloud-Hovering Bridge” and “Nine-Heavens Cloud Gallery” are thrilling yet exhilarating. Standing on the 300-meter-long glass skywalk that spans two mountains, many colleagues with a fear of heights, encouraged by their teammates, summoned the courage to take those first steps. This spirit of pushing personal boundaries and offering mutual support is precisely what effective team building is about.
Daqi Mountain National Forest Park — At One with Nature
On the final day, the team visited Daqi Mountain National Forest Park, dubbed the “Little Jiuzhaigou.” With its high forest coverage and fresh air, the park is a natural oxygen bar.
During the hike, when encountering challenging paths, team members supported each other to maintain balance. The diverse plants and insects along the trail also aroused great interest. Amidst the green mountains and clear waters, everyone embraced nature completely.
During the three-day retreat, the team bonded over both the breathtaking landscapes and distinctive local flavors of Tonglu. The event came to a perfect close amidst an atmosphere filled with shared laughter. This outing allowed colleagues to reveal their vibrant personal sides outside of work, showcasing the very relaxed and positive team dynamic that Maxi group actively encourages and values.
